Dino Buzatti is best known as a writer and poet but he did a fair amount of painting and illustration work as well. Whales (and things that look like whales) as well as four-eyed people and monsters seem to be popular motifs for him.

The top image is the Russian cover design for his (perhaps) best known work, a children’s books called The Bears’ Famous Invasion of Sicily which I’m debating purchasing to read to my kids but the reviews on Amazon are a bit mixed. Anybody read it?
