Untitled (Galleon on Water)

Looks like the American Folk Art Museum has gotten their mitts on 120 previously unknown drawings by Martin Ramirez, which is significant as there were only 300 known works before this find. I foolishly missed the retrospective they had for him a few years ago but was finally able to see some of his stuff close up at the (regrettably named) outsider art fair this past year. It runs through April 12th so I have plenty of time to catch this one. Can’t say the work looks as compelling as some of the other things I’ve seen by him but I’ll definitely check it out.
