These are from a tiny 16 page little book called “Platitude” by Michelle Sterling put out by the great Islands Fold. Its about a small mid-western town that gets shipped off to Mars… its a bit of a satire: even on another planet the inhabitants must endure all the crud our culture produces including astroturf, Sunny D and Larry King among other things. The artwork is really, really great and it would great to see more collaboration between the two artists, Tracey Maurice and Luke Ramsey, maybe on some work for a gallery perhaps…
